CVPA welcomes community partners!

Our CEI (Community Engagement Initiatives) Affinity Group was initiated by our first director, Professor Rebecca Uchill (now Director of the Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture at the University of Maryland Baltimore County). This group continues to meet periodically during the semester. Additionally, we foster CVPA scholarship of community-engagement that gives us an opportunity to discuss projects and grant proposals with the CEI as well as our community stake holders. All UMass Dartmouth faculty and staff are welcome to join our meetings and information sessions. Many CVPA faculty, staff, and students are excited about building substantive mutual relationships with organizations and communities in the region, and the CEI endorses all creative initiatives.

For information about working with CVPA faculty and students, or the CEI Affinity Group, please contact Professor Pamela Karimi at pamela.karimi@umassd.edu.

We will look for a partnership that might work for you, and get back to you with details.

Are you looking for more general information about community partnerships with UMass Dartmouth? The Leduc Center for Civic Engagement hosts "Corsair Engage" — a partnership website serving the broader UMass Dartmouth community. For more information about community partnerships and student engagement visit Corsair Engage.
