A survey of legal issues involving elderly clients; various systems affecting estate planning for elders; Social Security, Medicare, SSI, SSDI, relevant Federal Estate, Gift, and Income Tax provisions and Massachusetts differences; how trusts and spendthrift clauses intersect with Massachusetts divorce law; Massachusetts Medicaid / MassHealth and issues in planning for nursing home placement such as asset protection strategies.
