Register Now

The top 3 winners receive:

First place: $500
Second place: $300
Third place: $200

Finalists also receive a free 2-month membership to the Co-Creative Center in downtown New Bedford.

Here’s how you apply:

Create a 2-minute video pitch describing your idea. This can be similar to an Instagram Reel or TikTok video. Record your pitch and upload it using the registration link above.

Here’s what we want you to showcase:

  • What is your idea? Is it a product, service, or experience?
  • How is it unique?
  • Who is your customer and how do you reach them?
  • Tell us about you: How does your background support the idea?
  • What are the alternatives, and how is your idea better?
  • How much does it cost to make? How much would you sell it for?

The application deadline is Friday, November 22. Final presentations will be held on Thursday, December 5, at 5pm in CCB 149.

Frequently Asked Questions

My idea is still being formed, can I submit it to the Idea Challenge?

Yes! You’re welcome to submit ideas that are still under development. In fact, answering the above questions in your submission might help you flesh it out a bit.

I don’t know who my customers are, or if I have any. Can I still submit my idea?

Yes! Not every idea has customers, but if you think there’s a way that your idea could make money (e.g., through ticket sales or event fees), make sure to mention it in your pitch.

Do I have to create .ppt slides for my pitch?

Nope, no slides are necessary. Just make sure to talk about each of the areas mentioned above in your recording.
