Advisement Process
Advising for the Graduate Certificate Programs can be found on the homepages for each program:
Advising for the Master of Public Policy (MPP) is a relatively simple process. The following has been provided to help you in making informed choices about how to complete your MPP experience:
- First, review the requirements for the MPP program.
- Second, review and complete the MPP Tracking Form (PDF).
- Third, review the schedule of course offerings to get a sense of when courses will be offered.
Using the recommended course schedule, advising form, and schedule of courses offered, begin to complete your advising form based on your chosen concentration (education, environment, public management). See where the opportunity exists to add your elective course (semester) and determine what courses are available to fill this requirement. Contact your adviser with a completed advising form if you have any further questions.
Note that faculty are not available during the summer months for advising, so take care to make appropriate advising plans well in advance of following semesters.
Following this simplified process outlined above will provide you with a clear sense of the requirements for the program and allow you to maintain a good deal of control over your sequencing of courses and overall understanding of program requirements to ensure you move through the program with as much ease as possible.
