Curriculum
The course of study for students majoring in biology, including specializations, is fairly structured for the first two years. In their first and second year, students take basic science, mathematics, and English courses.
During their junior and senior years, students can choose to pursue a general biology degree, choosing upper-level electives that are of interest to them and will prepare them for different types of careers in biology. Alternatively, students can choose one of our specialization options (see below) to narrow their focus on a specific career path.
Students should consult with their faculty advisor in planning their course schedules each semester. An appointment with the advisor is necessary before students can register for courses.
