In most cases, your consent is provided at the point of application for a service when you sign a loan application or similar agreement and a Salary Key is not required, but if you are asked to provide one from the verifier, these instructions illustrate how to create a Salary Key.

Requestors
I. For Commercial Verifications (mortgage lenders, pre-employment, property leasing, credit cards, etc.)
Please visit www.theworknumber.com and select “I’m a Verifier”. You will need to provide the following:
- Employer Name or Code: UMASS
- Employer Code is 18128
- Employee’s Social Security Number
II. For Social Services Verifications* (including Medicaid, SSI/SSDI, SNAP, TANF, Child Support, Public Housing, etc.)

Verifiers who require additional information beyond what is provided by The Work Number should fax their request to UMass Dartmouth Human Resources (508-999-8869) along with the information obtained from The Work Number and the additional information that is required.
